Fruits Classification

Fruit is ripe ripened ovary of any flowering plant, or angiosperm, and usually contains one or more seeds.

Classification of fruit:
By definition, fruit to such edibles as tomatoes, string beans, corn, peas, and mustard, as well as to nuts, scorns, oranges, peaches, and others. Tomatoes, string, beans, and peaches, for examples, are fruits that are eaten whole. Peas, corn, and mustard are the seeds, or fertilized ovules, of fruits. Flour is ground from the fruit of the wheat plant, and coffee is made from the seeds of the coffee fruit, or bean.

Some fruits, called accessory fruits, are partly derived from flower structures other than the ovary. Most accessory fruits, such as bananas, papaya, cucumber, and gooseberries, are fleshy throughout and are thus called false berries. Apples and pears are accessory fruits called pomes; the edible part is the fleshy exterior, and the true fruit form the core.

Lettuce

Lettuce, lactuca sativa, of the family Compositae, is the most popular of all salad crops. It is a cool-season vegetable, growing best at temperatures between 15o and 18o C (59o and 64o F). It will often bolt, or produce seed prematurely, if it is grown in mid summer heat.

Lettuce is usually propagated by seeding directly in the soil. Leaf lettuce is harvested about 40 days after seeding; head lettuce, from 70 to 90 days.

Pineapple

A popular tropical fruit, the pineapple. Ananas comosus, of the Bromeliaceae family, originated in South America, perhaps in the Parana-Paraguay basin, and spread through much of the continents lowlands and other tropical areas. After Ameridians domesticated the plant, the Spanish and Portuguese spread its cultivation throughout the tropics, aided by the fact that it is propagated readily from parts of the fruit.

Tomato

Tomato have been spreading used in food recipe for their cook and many individual and industrial use to produce sauce. Such as the well known one is Ciopiono Sauce from Sea Harvest Restaurant, Carmel - California.

Tomatoes are the most widely used canned vegetable in the United States. About 75 percent of the total tomato crop is processed in juice, canned tomatoes, sauces, pastes and ketchup.

Papaya Tree and Fruit

The papaya, carica papaya, family caricaceae, often called the melon tree and sometimes the papaw, is not soft wooded, palm-like evergreen tree indigenous to the tropical lowlands of central America. It is cultivate in tropical countries around the world for its palatable fruit and for the latex of the green fruit, which contain papain, a protein digesting enzyme that is used commercially as a meat tenderizer.

Potato

White potatoes are edible tubers that grow at the end of underground stems of the plant Solanum tuberosum, a member of the Nightshade family. Above ground, the plant has a stem and coarse, dark green leaves resembling those of the tomato. Its flowers range from white to purple, and occasionally fruits develop that resemble small green tomatoes. Like the berries of the nightshade, these fruits are poisonous. The tuber’s skin ranges from tan to purple, and its flesh is usually white or light yellow, although in some Andean varieties it is purple. The tuber has extermal buds, or “eyes”, that can sprout into new plants. These eyes, rather than the seeds of the fruit, are planted to grow a new crop.

Egg Plant

The eggplant, or aubergine, Solamun melongena esculentum, is grown for its large oval fruit, which is eaten as a vegetable. It is a member of the Solanaceae family, which also includes the potato, tomato, and pepper. Native to India and China, the vegetable was introduced to Europe by Arabic traders.

Edible and Poisonous Mushroom

Edible Mushroom from rice has form like umbrella and includes an edible mushroom. Mushrooms are plant that has no chlorophyll include of Agaricales of the class Basidiomycetes. The live of mushroom beginning with spora (basidiospora) then changed to filament called hive like fine yarn. This filament will grow spread all over the media, then from the hive group (mycelium) will grow a small lump like small yarn lump mean that the mushroom starting grow. From this small lump then growing bigger become small button, from the small button then grow until the egg stadium. From egg stadium then starting grow bar and the head of mushroom then growing bloom. This bloom that is like an umbrella will merge spora that is ready to spread or fly by the wind to the other place to grow.

The Salivary Gland

The principal salivary glands communicating with the mouth and pouring their secretion into its cavity are the parotid, submaxillary, and sublingual.

The parotic gland, so called from being placed near the ear is the largest of the three salivary glands, varying in weight from half an ounce to an ounce. It lies upon the side of the face immediately below by the angle of the jaw and by a line drawn between it and the mastoid process: anteriorly, it extends to a variable extent over the Masseter muscle; posteriorly it is bounded by the external meatus, the mastoid process and the Sterno mastoid and Digastric muscles, slightly overlapping the two muscles.

The Cranial Nerves

The cranial nerves arise from some part of the corebrospinal center and are transmitted through formina in the base of the cranium. They pass through the dura mater lining the base of the skull. Other names are also given to them, derived from the parts to which they are distributed or from their functions. The Coccyx

The coccyx, so called from having been compared to a cuckoo’s beak is usually formed of four small segments of bone, the most rudimentary parts of the vertebral column. In each of the first three segments may be traced a rudimentary body, articular and transverse processes; the last piece (sometimes the third) is a mere nodule of bone, without distinct processes. All the segments are destitute of pedicles, laminae, and spinous processes, and consequently of intervertebral foramina and spinal canal. The first segment is the largest; it resembles the lowermost sacral vertebra, and often exists as a separate piece; the last three, diminishing in size from above downward, are usually blended together so as to form a single bone.
